My head right now is all like:
Why? Well, this day gave us glorious spring sunshine, nice, almost empty roads, and this black Italian stallion to drive them:
Sorry for the potato pic, if you can't recognize, this is a Maserati Shamal. It was produced before Fiat merged them with Ferrari, so the V8 in the nose is an in-house design. It's only 3.2 liters, got two IHI turbos and an intercooler though, so when it's go time, there are 326 horses to get your ass up to speed.
Only 369 produced, from 1989 through 1996, guess not many people wanted to pay a bit more for this than for a Mercedes 500 SL or a BMW 850i. It still isn't cheap, so if you want one, you better have a few bucks to back you up, as they seem to go for around !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! these days....

Not mine, no. I wish!
To drive? I will get back later with some impressions, but let me say the driving position has all sorts of faults (read: old Italian), but other than that, it's all you wish it was. The sound is all turbo, hissing and blowing and making you feel like you're about to be launched into space, and then you are. It really is quick and powerful.
Have to say though, i'm not chriss harris, so i wasn't trying to push the envelope on someone else's car on the open highway on the first try....
